The Cayman Islands does not have a Prime Minister as such. The highest elected official in the Cayman Islands is the Premier, before the institution of the new constitution this post was referred to as the Leader of Government Business ("LoGB"). At the onset of the new Cayman Islands constitution in 2009, the first elected Premier became the Honorable Premier, Mckeeva Bush, OBE, JP of the United Democratic Party ( "UDP").
As the Cayman Islands are a Bristish Overseas Territory however, it is important to note that the highest official in the country is the Governor, choosen by the Queen. The Cayman Islands is the second most senior governship of the U.K.'s territories in the Carribean. The current Governor is His Excellency the Governor, Duncan Taylor, CBE.
