The federal government of the United States oversees the entire country, including all states, territories, and federal districts. It is responsible for managing national defense, maintaining Law and Order, regulating interstate commerce, and providing essential services and programs at the national level. The federal government is composed of three branches: the executive branch, headed by the President; the legislative branch, consisting of the Senate and the House of Representatives; and the judicial branch, led by the Supreme Court.
No federal government agency oversees the auto insurance industry. The auto insurance companies are regulated on a state-to-state basis and would be listed as an Insurance Bureau or Department of Insurance.
