The territory was part of the British mandate for Palestine (1917-1948), passed to Egypt in 1949, and was occupied by Israel in 1967. Palestinian autonomy was promised in the 1979 Israeli-Egyptian peace treaty, and limited autonomy was granted in a 1993 Israeli-Palestinian accord. well in 1947 is when Jews didnt have a standard land that when they decides they want to have Gaza

Emotedhell: There are also 2 causes about the war in Gaza. One is the border conflict. And the other is a religious difference. Based on research. there are 1300 dead, 270 children, 92 women, 11 paramedics, and the rest are the soldiers. and 300 wounded. Gaza striked 600 missiles while Israel sent back 60 air strikes.

Is that so? I don't blame you, because you are obviously oblivious to the REAL news, you know..the news that informs listeners about the TRUTH.

Israel gained the Gaza Strip through the Six Day War of 1967, but devolved the entire ruling and governance of the Strip to the Palestinian Authority in 2005. Israel currently blockades the territory, but does not occupy it or directly control it.
