A Canadian Member of Parliament must have celebrated his/her 18th birthday no later than election day.
An MP (Member of Parliament) represents their constituents in debates, votes on legislation, scrutinizes the government, participates in committee work, and raises issues of concern on behalf of their constituents. They also work on constituency matters outside of Parliament.

The Canadian legislature is called parliament, and those who are part of it are called members of parliament (or MPs for short).
MP means "Member of Parliament". This means an individual who has been elected to the Canadian parliament or any provincial legislature (In Ontario, MPP represents "Member of Provincial Parliament", rather than MP)
He or she is simply passing on concerns voiced by constituents who reside in he or she's constituency and are voters for he or she in any future election.Most constituency politicians (at least in Britain) hold weekly surgeries so constituents can voice concerns directly to their MP (Member of Parliament).
A congress member's constituents are the people he or she is elected to represent. They share a similar location as they all live in the congress member's home district.
