In the game Fallout†, Harold grew into a tree.

By 2277, Harold is but a gnarled face in a tree growing in the Oasis Grove.

During his many adventures, he encountered such influential people as

Richard Grey, Vault Dweller, Chosen One and Lone Wanderer.

†Fallout is a post-nuclear role playing game developed and published by Interplay on September 30th, 1997 and is the first game in the Fallout series.

The game was initially intended to use Steve Jackson Games' GURPS system, but when that deal fell through, Interplay created its own system, S.P.E.C.I.A.L.

Fallout is seen as the "spiritual successor" to Interplay's classic 1987 CRPG (Computer Role Playing Game) Wasteland.
