Suggest an explanation for why there are fewer lions than zebras on the African plains?

There are fewer lions than zebras on the African plains due to a combination of factors such as the lions' territorial behavior, smaller population size in general, and the zebras' ability to reproduce more quickly. Lions also require more food to sustain themselves compared to zebras, which may contribute to their lower numbers in the wild.
