"One generations plants the trees, another gets the shade" is a Chinese Proverb. What I think it means is that, out ancestors left us with wonderful things, for example; trees. They planted it, giving us everything we need today. We're using the shade. But now, our current generation is cutting down the trees so, basically, our future generation won't be getting the shade. What this generation is doing is cutting down the trees to build houses, forts, etc.. and leaving nothing for the next generation.
I hope you understood this... if not then maybe someone else might explain it better. Sorry if you didn't get it but I'm glad I tried. =)
