What are some ways to compost?
Containers, heaps, piles and pits are ways to compost.
Composting involves natural decomposition at higher or lower
temperatures, called respectively cold and hot composting, and with
or without aeration, known respectively as aerobic and anaerobic
decomposition. It may use animal manure, kitchen leftovers and
scraps, worm castings or yard debris for lawns, perennial beds,
shrubs and trees, and vegetable gardens.
