Answer: Only hot gasses travel upwards. This is because gas expands when it it heated and is therefore less dense. The more dense colder gasses are attracted more strongly by gravity so the hotter gasses are displaced.

Heat typically flows upward in a fluid because hot fluid rises and cold fluid sinks due to differences in density caused by temperature variations. This movement is known as convection, where warmer, less dense fluid displaces colder, denser fluid. This behavior is commonly observed in fluids like air and water.

Why fire moves up in direction?

Fire moves upward due to the natural convection process. As the fire heats the surrounding air, it becomes less dense and rises, creating a flow of air upwards. This convection current carries the flames and heat upwards, which is why fire tends to move in an upward direction.

Does heat energy flow indefinitely?

No, heat energy does not flow indefinitely. It will continue to flow until a thermal equilibrium is reached where all objects involved reach the same temperature. Once this equilibrium is achieved, there will be no further flow of heat energy.

Why does flames of acandle rises upward?

The flame of a candle rises upward due to the convection currents created by the heat from the flame. As the flame burns, it heats the surrounding air, causing it to become less dense and rise. This creates a continuous flow of hot air moving upward, carrying the flame along with it.
