Electricity supply must match consumption. Electricity is used as soon as it is produced, there is no storage in the distribution system. This is unlike distributing gas say, in a large network, where excess can be stored in the pipework to an extent, or hydro where excess water can be spilled. There is no sink where excess electricity can be stored, it has to be used immediately. What happens if a large load is suddenly shutdown without warning, is the system frequency rises, the turbine governors in the system see this and respond by slightly closing their steam valves, the steam pressures rise and the steam producing plants drop some output. If it is a planned load reduction, the grid control will ask some generators to reduce load as required. The reverse can happen if a large generating set trips out, then the other turbines in the system will increase output to restore the frequency and total power output. The bottom line is that the power grid, the large system of electric generation and distribution facilities, doesn't really have a means to store energy. A more thorough knowledge of the power grid is necessary to understand the situation. As stated, supply is "cranked up" to meet demand and then "cut back" as it drops.
On average, about 6-9% of electricity is lost during transmission and distribution from the power plant to homes. These losses occur due to resistance in power lines, transformers, and other equipment. Efforts to improve efficiency in the grid can help reduce these losses.
On average, one nuclear power plant is capable of generating around three times more electricity than a typical coal power plant. This is due to the higher energy density of nuclear fuel compared to coal. Therefore, in terms of electricity generation capacity, one nuclear power plant is roughly equivalent to three coal power plants.
The energy generated at a power plant is transmitted through high-voltage power lines to a local substation, where it is converted to a lower voltage for distribution. From the substation, the electricity is carried through distribution lines to individual homes and businesses where it powers appliances and lights.
In a geothermal power plant, energy transfer occurs when heat from the Earth's core is used to heat water to produce steam. The steam turns turbines connected to generators, converting the thermal energy into electrical energy. The electricity generated is then distributed to homes and businesses for use.
In a hydroelectric power plant, potential energy is converted into kinetic energy as water flows downhill through turbines. The rotating turbines then drive generators to produce electricity. This process utilizes the gravitational potential energy stored in the water at a higher elevation.

Go to the power plant to find that there is a piece missing from the plant. Then go to the Cerulean Gym and you'll find a team rocket grunt who will flee. Chase him north, battle him and beat him. Then you'll get a piece of info from him that'll tell you where the part is. Recover it and return it to the plant and power returns to the region.
The leaves help go through photosynthesis, which in turn makes energy for the plant. Your welcome!

chloroplasts
power plant. go to the rock tunnel entrance and go up to the water, and surf down and you will find the power plant. at the end of the power plant you will find zapdos
The Power Plant is not in Lavender town. To reach the Power Plant, go to Route 10 (north of the Rock Tunnel) and surf south along the river. The Power Plant is on your left.
Hydroelectric power is generated at a hydroelectric power plant, where energy from flowing or falling water is converted into electricity. The electricity is then transferred through power lines to distribution substations, which then distribute the electricity to homes, businesses, and other users through the electrical grid.
You surf to the right of Rock Tunnel, go down into the Power Plant, and at the end is Zapdos.
Type your answer here... first u have to beat the elite four then go gto kanto . go to power plant and talk to manager .he will say the power plant power is not working. find part to power plant its in mistys gym bring it to power plant then beat all gyms then zapdos is outside power plant hope it helps ;)
Go to the power plant, then go to Cerulean gym, and there will be a rocket guy. He will run away. He will be on the bridge. Kill him, then go to the plant, after he gives you the piece of machinery. You will get praise and most likely nomz.
Maybe because the leaves of cucumber plant captures or its more exposed to sun and that's why thy become white or yellow on the edges
