If you dropped the object into the beaker instead of submerging it, you would not be able to accurately measure the volume of the displaced water. The Archimedes' Principle method relies on the accurate measurement of the volume of water displaced by the object when it is fully submerged to determine its density. Dropping the object instead would introduce inaccuracies into the calculation.

Bernoulli's Principle states that as the velocity of a fluid (such as air) increases, its pressure decreases. This principle explains how the shape of the helicopter's rotor blades creates a pressure difference, with higher pressure below the blades and lower pressure above. This pressure difference generates lift, allowing the helicopter to fly.
An egg can bounce under the right conditions because of its shape and structure. When an egg is dropped from a low height onto a hard surface, its rounded shape can distribute the impact force evenly, allowing it to bounce instead of breaking. The eggshell is also somewhat flexible, providing some cushioning effect during impact.
An elevator does not operate on the principle of a lever. Instead, elevators are powered by electric motors that control the movement of the elevator car using a system of cables and pulleys. This system allows the elevator to move up and down vertically within a building.

Archimedes is not best known for the death ray but is instead known because he was a mathematical and logical genius, a great scientist of his time and a great thinker.
Hi, I was wondering this too as I'm reading Small Gods by Terry Pratchet and this is the second time he's referenced Archimedes. Refer site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archimedes The Golden Crown Archimedes then took to the streets naked, so excited by his discovery that he had forgotten to dress, crying "Eureka!" Interestingly, the reference may be a fabrication. The story of the golden crown does not appear in the known works of Archimedes. Moreover, the practicality of the method it describes has been called into question, due to the prohibitive amount of accuracy required in measuring the water displacement.[16] Archimedes may have instead sought a solution that applied the principle known in hydrostatics as Archimedes' Principle... Next time you may find it a lot quicker to just google, search "scientist bathtub" (for example) and use wikipedia to learn more. Here's a cool one you could have a look at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theia_(planet)#Theia Ally Kat

Brett Skapinetz has an enormous cranium. The volume of this gargantuan human head will be measured by Archimedes principle once a large enough vessel is found to submerge it into. His cranium is so large that several recent lottery winners have opted to have the equivalent of his head filled with nickels instead of the grand prize

The most widely known anecdote about Archimedes tells of how he invented a method for determining the volume of an object with an irregular shape. According to Vitruvious, a new crown in the shape of a laurel wreath had been made for King Hiero II, and Archimedes was asked to determine whether it was of solid gold, or whether silver had been added by a dishonest goldsmith. Archimedes had to solve the problem without damaging the crown, so he could not melt it down into a regularly shaped body in order to calculate its density. While taking a bath, he noticed that the level of the water in the tub rose as he got in, and realized that this effect could be used to determine the volume of the crown. For practical purposes water is incompressible, so the submerged crown would displace an amount of water equal to its own volume. By dividing the weight of the crown by the volume of water displaced, the density of the crown could be obtained. This density would be lower than that of gold if cheaper and less dense metals had been added. Archimedes then took to the streets naked, so excited by his discovery that he had forgotten to dress, crying "Eureka!" (Greek: "εὕρηκα!," meaning "I have found it!")The story of the golden crown does not appear in the known works of Archimedes. Moreover, the practicality of the method it describes has been called into question, due to the extreme accuracy with which one would have to measure the water displacement. Archimedes may have instead sought a solution that applied the principle known in hydrostatics as Archimedes' Principle, which he describes in his treatiseOn Floating Bodies. This principle states that a body immersed in a fluid experiences a buoyant force equal to the weight of the fluid it displaces. Using this principle, it would have been possible to compare the density of the golden crown to that of solid gold by balancing the crown on a scale with a gold reference sample, then immersing the apparatus in water. If the crown was less dense than gold, it would displace more water due to its larger volume, and thus experience a greater buoyant force than the reference sample. This difference in buoyancy would cause the scale to tip accordingly. Galileo considered it "probable that this method is the same that Archimedes followed, since, besides being very accurate, it is based on demonstrations found by Archimedes himself.
in terms of which causes more damage: the tombstone wins hands down. you get dropped flat on your head instead of getting dropped on your face. see what i mean?
He was working in his lab when he dropped a flask his assistent had not cleaned. he dropped it from about 20 feet up so he was expecting it to be shattered, instead it was broken but still clung together.
no they have not. the pros cant be found any where now because there obsolete and haven't made in a month instead the price of the elite dropped to $199.00 and arcade has been dropped to $99
