The orchestra must be ready.

Seriously, you probably mean conduction of heat, or electricity. The answer is the same in both cases. First, you need a difference. In heat the differenc is measured in temperature, in electricity it is measure in voltage. Zero volts, zero flow of electricity. No temperature difference, no flow of heat.

The next, and final, thing that you need is something to conduct the flow. For electricity that is usually a piece of metal, but other things can work. Air will work for lightning. For heat any piece of matter will get the job done. However some things are better conductors of heat. Metal good, stone bad.

For conduction to occur, there must be direct contact between two objects at different temperatures. Heat energy will transfer from the hotter object to the cooler one through the collision of particles. Good conductors of heat, such as metals, allow heat to transfer more easily through their structures, while insulators impede the transfer of heat.

Why must substances be touching in order for conduction occur?

Because, conduction is the transfer of heat flow fro one object to another. So that means they must touch to make conduction occur.

could conduction happen between two objects that were not touching?

No, conduction requires physical contact between objects to transfer heat. Without direct contact, conduction cannot occur.

What must occur for hardy weinberg equilibrium to occur?

What must be present for conduction to occur?

For conduction to occur, there must be a material with free electrons, such as a metal, to allow the flow of charge. Additionally, there must be a potential difference (voltage) across the material to drive the flow of electrons. Finally, the material should be a conductor, as insulators do not allow for the flow of charge.

Why must substance be touching in order for conduction to occur?

Conduction occurs when heat is transferred through direct contact between substances. When substances are in contact, their particles vibrate and transfer thermal energy from one to the other. Without contact, there is no medium for the heat to pass through, so conduction cannot occur.

Where does nerve conduction deafness occur?

Nerve conduction deafness is one of the two types of deafness that can happen. It occurs when there is a break in communication between the nerve cells and the inner ear.

What happen for heat to be transferred by thermal conduction?

Two molecules must collide with each other.

Does conduction happen in the troposphere?

Yes, conduction does occur in the troposphere. It is the layer of the Earth's atmosphere closest to the surface where temperature decreases with increasing altitude. This temperature gradient allows for conduction as heat is transferred from the Earth's surface to the air above.
