Look, i'v done an assighnment on meteorites and i think, that their is a one in a million chance that a meteoite would hit the earth since the atmosphere burns the meteroite up but if this did happen, the dust from the impact would smudge up the air and block the sun for decades which means plants won't grow and starvation would start. but if a large meteroite struck the earth, the earth would basicly shatter and magnum from the inercore would be released and would cover the whole earth causing devastating disasters.
