The weight of a bicycle can vary depending on the type and materials used. On average, a standard adult bike weighs around 20-30 pounds (9-14 kg). Mountain bikes or electric bikes may weigh more due to additional components.

A scale is best for measuring how much a bicycle weighs. Once you know the weight,

you can use any unit of force to write it, describe it, remember it, and tell others about it.

The best unit to choose is the one that results in the most convenient number. For the

weight of a bicycle, you'd probably want to use newtons or pounds. The "kilogram", also

widely though incorrectly used as a unit of force, might also be convenient.
Kilos would work, as would pounds. Grams would be a bit silly.

Kilos and pounds are OK for mass but mass is not weight. The metric unit for weight is a Newton. The Imperial units would be the pound-force or poundal.
