Sound is vibration transmitted through a solid, liquid, or gas; particularly, sound means those vibrations composed of frequencies capable of being detected by ears. Sound is produced when the air is disturbed in some way, for example by a vibrating object. A speaker cone can serve as a good illustration. It may be possible to see the movement of a bass speaker cone, providing it is producing very low frequency sound. As the cone moves forward the air immediately in front is compressed causing a slight increase in air pressure, it then moves back past its rest position and causes a reduction in the air pressure (rarefaction).
We say "rap" or "bang" to describe the sound produced by a gavel.
Sound is produced by objects that vibrate, creating pressure waves in the air. These pressure waves are then detected by our ears as sound.
The sound on a woodblock is produced by striking it with a mallet or drumstick. The type of wood used, the size and thickness of the woodblock, and the striking technique all contribute to the sound produced. The vibration of the woodblock creates the sound that we hear.
A sound is produced when a metal blade called a tangent strikes the string. This describes a clavichord, where the tangent directly triggers vibration in the strings to create sound.
Sound waves with peaks that are close together produce a high-pitched sound.

sound is produced in veena by vibrating the strings of it
The smoke is produced slightly before the sound. Smoke is produced by the ignition of the propellant in the round. The sound is produced when the bullet passes through the sound barrier.
