A 6 pack of bottled beer would weigh 4.5 pounds. This can be determined by multiplying the 12 oz. beer by 6, and then converting the result into pounds.

I  guess thus site is called "Answers", not "Correct Answers". Fluid ounces such as a 12oz beer doesn't mean it weighs 12oz. In the case of beer 12 oz weights 12.5oz, plus the bottle at ~3.5oz each, so total 16oz x 6 =- six pounds.

It is hard to say how much an empty water bottle might weigh because bottles can be made out of different materials. On average they weigh about 12 grams.

This is not correct.

A bottle of beer is 12 FLUID OUNCES, which are a measure of volume, not weight.

This is why we need metric....
