The overall category is generators. Hydro-electric generators in power generating dams. I used to have a bike light that was powered by the spinning of the back tire. Many hybrid cars use motors in each week as generators when the car is slowing down, this energy re-charges the cars batteries. Those are different types of generators, but I can't think of anything outside that category.
