Some disadvantages of wind energy include its intermittent nature (dependent on wind strength), visual impacts on landscapes, potential noise pollution from turbine operations, and threat to wildlife such as birds and bats. Additionally, initial installation costs can be high compared to conventional fossil fuel sources.

What are some disadvantages about wind mills?

Some disadvantages of windmills include their potential impact on local wildlife, such as birds and bats, the intermittency of wind as a power source, which can require additional energy storage solutions, and the visual impact they may have on the landscape, which can be seen as unsightly to some people.

What are some advantages and disadvantages of using wind energy to create electricity?

Advantages of using wind energy include it being a clean and renewable energy source, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and supporting energy independence. However, disadvantages can include the intermittent nature of wind, visual and noise impacts on local landscapes, and potential harm to wildlife in certain locations.

What are some disadvantages of wind energy source?

Some disadvantages of wind energy include the intermittency of wind (not always blowing), visual and noise impacts from turbines, and potential negative effects on wildlife habitats. Additionally, the initial cost of setting up wind turbines can be high.

What advantages and disadvantages for a wind turbine?

Advantages: Wind turbines produce clean, renewable energy, reduce carbon emissions, and have low operating costs after initial setup. Disadvantages: Wind energy is intermittent and dependent on wind availability, which can impact reliability and consistency of power generation. Wind turbines can also be expensive to install and may face opposition due to visual or noise concerns.

What are the dis-advantages of wind energy?

Some disadvantages of wind energy include intermittency, as wind is not always predictable or consistent. Wind farms can also be visually intrusive and produce noise. There may be concerns about the impact on wildlife and the environment during construction and operation of wind turbines.

What are the advantage of wind energy?

Disadvantages 1)Wind power needs a lot of land. 2)wind power is a hard subtences to get in a town where they do not get that much wind . 3)Towns that do not get this much wind that is needed for the turbines .

What make wind energy not so good?

Some disadvantages of wind energy include its dependency on weather conditions, potential impact on wildlife, and need for large land areas for wind farms. Additionally, wind turbines can be noisy and can impact local aesthetics.
