Typically, 1/3 to 1/2 of the bottle should be filled with water for a 2-liter bottle rocket. This creates a good balance between providing enough thrust to launch the rocket and allowing adequate air pressure to build up for propulsion.

Not more than half full as a general rule. You must leave room for the compressed air that will push water out of the rocket. Air can be compressed, but water cannot.

What is the length of a water bottle rocket?

The length of a water bottle rocket can vary depending on the size and design of the bottle used. On average, a typical water bottle rocket is around 2 feet (60 cm) in length.

How much mass should a rocket bottle has?

The mass of a rocket bottle depends on various factors such as the size of the bottle, the amount of water and air pressure used, and the desired altitude or distance that the rocket needs to achieve. Generally, a rocket bottle mass should be light enough to maximize its acceleration and height while still providing stability during launch.
