recently on H2 channel they just prove this theory. they findingd in solar flares and the erath magnect pole are pulling aginst each oth to creat the northern lights.the northern light are an odd type of magnetic source within the surfuce.when the solar flare reaches the surface. they create the hue colors from the north.they can be bright like the sun or shades of purple

The Earth's magnetic field protects the planet from solar winds and cosmic radiation. When charged particles from the sun interact with the magnetic field near the poles, they create the auroras, such as the Northern Lights. The particles are funneled along the magnetic field lines towards the poles, where they collide with the gases in Earth's atmosphere, producing the beautiful light displays.

Relate earths spinning motion to the coriiols effect?

Earth's spinning motion causes the Coriolis effect, which deflects moving air and water masses to the right in the Northern Hemisphere and to the left in the Southern Hemisphere. This deflection is a result of the difference in rotational speeds at different latitudes due to Earth's spherical shape. The Coriolis effect influences global wind patterns and ocean currents.

What is the difference between magnetic force and electric force?

Magnetic force is the force between magnets or moving charges, while electric force is the force between electric charges. Magnetic force acts on moving charges perpendicular to both the velocity of the charge and the magnetic field, while electric force acts along the line connecting the charges.

What is the oersted effect?

The Oersted effect refers to the deflection of a magnetic needle when an electric current flows through a nearby conductor. This phenomenon demonstrates the relationship between electricity and magnetism, as discovered by Hans Christian Oersted in 1820.

Derivation of magnetic quantum number from schrodinger wave equation?

The magnetic quantum number (m) arises as a result of solving the angular part of the Schrödinger equation for an electron in a hydrogen atom in spherical coordinates. It quantizes the component of angular momentum along a specified axis (usually the z-axis). The allowed values of m are integers ranging from -l to +l, where l is the azimuthal quantum number.

How does the number of coils relate to the magnets strength?

The number of coils in a coil of wire does not directly affect the strength of a magnet. The strength of a magnet is determined by factors such as the material it is made of, its size, and its composition, rather than the number of coils in a nearby wire. However, the number of coils in a wire can affect the magnetic field generated when a current flows through it.

How does true north relate to sailing?

When sailing a course magnetic bearings are used. However there is a difference between magnetic north and true north called the magnetic variation, this changes year by year and can be a very significant figure depending on your position. It is important therefore to know this to ascertain ones true course.

What is the difference between core type and shell type transformers?

The difference is between how the windings relate to magnetic material around which they are wound. If this magnetic material surrounds the windings then the device is said to be a shell type transformer. If the windings cover the exterior of the magnetic material then the transformer is said to be of the core type. Please see the link.
