∙ 12y agoIt depends on how much light it absorbs, and what kinds. A black shirt absorbs more heat because it is not reflecting any light. a white shirt on the other hand reflects most of the light that hits it. When light is absorbed into something like a shirt, that light energy is transformed into mostly heat energy. So light is either absorbed and turned into heat, or reflected into your eyes. Different colors can have an effect depending on the kinds of light in a light source. You wont notice a huge difference in the sun though.

∙ 12y agoDarker colors tend to absorb more heat than lighter colors because they absorb a wider range of wavelengths from sunlight. This means that a dark shirt will heat up more in the sun compared to a light-colored shirt, as it absorbs more energy from the sun's rays.
All of them ! The colours you see when you look at an object - is whatever colour(s) the object is not absorbing. A black t-shirt absorbs all the colours of he spectrum - therefore none is reflected back to the viewer.
A yellow shirt reflects yellow light because it absorbs all other colors in the light spectrum and reflects yellow wavelengths.
Darker colors like black absorb more heat compared to lighter colors like white. This is because darker colors absorb a wider range of light frequencies, including those that contain heat energy.
When white light strikes a red shirt, the shirt absorbs most of the colors in the light spectrum except for red. The red color is reflected off the shirt's surface, which our eyes perceive. This is why the shirt appears red to us.
No, a red shirt reflects red light while absorbing other colors. The color we see is the light that is reflected back to our eyes, so in this case, a red shirt appears red because it reflects red light and absorbs other colors.
yes, the darker it is, the more heat it absorbs.
Light that hits the shirt absorbs most of the color and reflects another color. For example, light hits a your shirt. It absorbs all of your colors except one (red, orange, yellow, blue, indigo, purple) and reflects green. So what everybody (who can see color) will see is green.
Well, Ex: If you went to six flags you would most likely want to choose a white instead of a black shirt. Here's why. White doesn't have any colors in it so the sun's rays beam right through it, whereas if you wore a black shirt the sun's rays would attract that color and reflect its rays on that color, causing it to absorb much more sun rays than a white shirt ever would. That's the best way I could put it.
no but the material and the mass of the shirt does
A yellow shirt appears yellow because it reflects yellow light waves and absorbs other colors present in the visible spectrum. This selective reflection process is detected by our eyes, which perceive the yellow wavelength and interpret it as the color yellow.
white and something else

The color black absorbs way more height then light blue. Lighter colors reflect more height then they absorb, black absorbs all height.
The color black absorbs light, which in other words, is heat.
