∙ 7y agoThe vertical height can be calculated using the formula: height = 0.5 * g * time^2, where g is the acceleration due to gravity (9.8 m/s^2) and time is the hang time (0.694 s). Plugging in these values, the Basketball player will attain a vertical height of approximately 2.38 meters when dunking the ball.
The dunking bird uses a heat engine with a volatile liquid inside its body. When the liquid at the bird's head is heated by an external heat source, it vaporizes and expands, pushing the liquid towards the bird's tail. This creates a pressure difference that causes the bird to tip over, dipping its head in a water container. As the head cools down and the vapor condenses, the pressure inside the bird decreases, allowing it to return to its upright position. The process repeats as long as there is a source of heat to drive the cycle.
"Eureka" is not really a scientific term - it is Greek for "I've found it".This is reputed to have been said by Archimedes (c. 287 BC - c. 212 BC) who was mathematician, physicist, engineer, inventor, and astronomer, when he suddenly realised the way to tackle a problem which had been posed to him - how to tell if a golden crown was pure gold, or had it been tampered with and cheaper metals used.
He used to stick his tongue out when dunking.
Increasing your vertical.

Dunking the ball.
A person can be 3 feet 6 inches tall and dunk a basketball by training themselves hard enough to give a 52 inch vertical jump
It is for more balace when jumping. (ex. rebounding, dunking)
Dunking of the basketball in the American Basketball Association was banned from 1967 to 1976. It was brought back because of its popularity.
If your 5' 10 it depends on how long your arm is. Jumping 4 feet like the other person said would allow you to hit your head on the rim. You probably need about two feet to be able to dunk the basketball. I am 5' 6 and I can almost dunk, NO JOKE! What helped me achieve this was an elite basketball program call The Vertical Leap and when following the steps right you can inproving dunking a lot. Or if you just want to know how high you can jump it's probably about 2 1/2 feet or 30 inches which is pretty good if you are dunking.
Youtube has some great basketball training videos. There are videos focusing on fundamentals as well as dunking and ally-oops!
Yes, at least at the high school level yes. I've gotten called for it.
it counts if it is not on the team that dunked the ball
