Religions are more of void filler for the soul, you seek for something to believe mentally because you can't fathom a world with no meaning and find it downright depressing to think there is no afterlife. But the truth is nobody knows anything more than anybody else, life is nothing more than perceptions of the mind, identity is an illusion, and the only thing that connects humans is the force of human suffering so the connection is seemingly meaningless.
People may be drawn to existentialism because it offers a way to confront the challenges and uncertainties of life without relying on traditional systems or beliefs. Existentialism emphasizes personal freedom, responsibility, and the importance of creating one's own meaning and values in a seemingly chaotic world.
