I dont know but i think the auditions still need to take place
The auditions are taking place on Ocober 19th 2008. In Cambridge, Exeter, London, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Newcastle.
Yes that it correct. Keep updated on differnet websites if you want to audition. ccbc, goldencompass and audition website, they might have the details in october
Nobody will be playing Will because the film won't be made.
I would probably say Josh Hutcherson would do great in it, but I'm not sure. I've heard that they will have auditions sometime in October. Josh Hutcherson could look a little older than 12, but I don't think that really matters. He did great in Bridge to Terabithia. There will be no subtle knife film.

There might not even be a Subtle Knife film. But if there was there would be lots of auditions for Will Parry. I have read the book. Have you?
Yes, Will Parry from "The Subtle Knife" does eventually find and meet his daemon after entering the world of Cittàgazze. In the story, his daemon is named Kirjava, and their bond is a significant aspect of Will's character development and journey.

On Monday May 23, 2011 in the New York Times, it says that the Sequel to 'The Golden Compass', the Subtle Knife is in development. I'm not good on searching the web, but my search came up better than Wikipedia in which IS NOT A CREDITIABLE SOURCE. Ask any high school or college English teacher! Anyway, New York Times on the other hand is CREDITABLE. If you do not believe me here is the link:http://movies.nytimes.com/movie/428054/The-Subtle-Knife/overview
The Subtle Knife Audio was created in 2002.
Prior to the release of the The Golden Compass on December 7, 2007, New Line said that an adaptation of The Subtle Knife would go into production only if the first film was a success. The Golden Compass did well world wide, however it flopped in the US making the making of the film The Subtle Knife unclear. There will not be a Subtle Knife film, there would be no reason to making a sequel to a bad film.
Nobody knows.Nobody. All hope of there being a subtle knife film has been obliterated.
