Wicked is the ``prequel`` to the Wizard of Oz although some of it takes place during the events of the Wizard of Oz. It centres on Elphaba the green skinned girl destined to become the Wicked Witch of the West. The book is her life story from her birth to when she is killed by Dorothy. However the more well known version, the musical,is an adapation of the book however it focuses more on the friendship between Elphaba and Glinda the girl who would become the Good Witch of the North. However the musical is vastly different and lighter than the novel also the ending is ``happier`` or more or less bittersweet.
Well Wicked is sort of about wat happend in oz before Dorothy and toto, ect. It includes characters, most of them might be familure to you, such as the wicked witch of the west and G(a)linda and a few others, but some characters are new. -x-x-x-x-x- Wicked is the story of the Wicked Witch of the West and her friendship with G(a)linda the Good. It's about how she came to be "wicked" and why she is green, about her frienship and love, and tells how the tinman got turned to tin, why the scarecrow became a scarecrow, and why the lion is cowardly. The story show characters in a different light than the Wizard of Oz does, showing Elphaba(the wicked witch of the west) as more of a protaganist and the Wizard of Oz as more of an antagonist.
wicked is about Elphaba's (the wicked witch of the west) life was before she was mean and ow she turned mean and who the characters really are
Winnie Holzman wrote the book for the musical Wicked.
Yes. Wicked regularly does tours around the country as well.
"By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes" Why is Macbeth wicked? He has not only killed his king, but he has also arranged for the murder of his friend for no clear reason. That's pretty wicked.
The story of Glinda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the East is told in the book 'Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West'. The book was published in 1995. The stage script was published in 2003.
The story about Elphaba's mother and the Wizard is in the song "No One Mourns the Wicked."
The first book in the Wicked series by Gregory Maguire is "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West." It reimagines the story of the Wicked Witch of the West from "The Wizard of Oz" and explores her journey and motivations.
Chapter 10 is where Seth tells a story to Aislinn.
Nothing. She is just a fictional character in the story.
No, the musical "Wicked" is neither a true story nor a story based on something that really happened.Specifically, the musical is based on two books: "The Wizard of Oz" by Lyman Frank Baum (May 15, 1856 - May 6, 1919) and "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West" by Gregory Maguire (b. June 9, 1954). Neither one of these two books tells a true story or constitutes a story based on real events. The plot and the characters both come from the fertile imaginations of the two respective authors.
Yes it is good. It tells the story of some characters in the wizard of oz. It tells the story of The wizard, Glinda the good witch, The wicked witch of the West, And it even has the Wicked witch of the East in it.
The conclusion of a short story titled "Wicked Woman" typically reveals the resolution of the conflict or dilemma faced by the main character. This may involve a twist ending, character development, or a moral lesson that is conveyed through the story's events.

"The Wizard of Oz" - wietsnowy
Well you see, The Wizard of Oz is a story mainly about Dorthy's journey and whom she meets along the way. The story is like many other fictional novels. You follow the character on their journey. However, Wicked is like the backstory about everything in the world of the Wizard of Oz. It answers many of your questions about the Wizard of Oz book. Why was the Wicked Witch of the West so wicked? What was the city of Oz like for everyone that lived there. Wicked is the story of Oz and Munchkinland before Dorothy ever showed up. It gives you back stories to all the old characters. Another difference is the content. The Wizard of Oz is appropriate for all ages and considered a family story. However, Wicked has strong content and may be to difficult for children to understand.
