The poem, " Palanquin Bearers" explains the various emotions of the bride. It shows how the bide is happy at one time, and another time she is sad. Also the bearers are very honored to be caring the bride on the Palanquin. The bride is happy at one time because she is going to start a new life at her in-laws, and at on time she is sad because she is leaving her parents house. So Sarojini Naidu is showing, us the readers that a bride has very contradictory emotions when she gets married.
