He rejected the notion of an all loving all controlling god and said that if one did exist that it was incompetent and didn't give a sh*t. As for being an "atheist" he said no in an interview due to the fact that he viewed it as a worldview.

George was a free thinker that hated to be labeled or categorized with other humans. He was the best iconoclast that has ever lived.
