In the 'Death of The Doctor' episode of the Sarah Jane Adventures (a spin-off show from Doctor Who), the Doctor says he can regenerate 507 times.
That being said, the Time Lord's lives were limited because of the "Time Lord Social Order". However, the Time Lord Social Order was wiped out when the Doctor's home planet was destroyed. Which would possibly make it possible to have more than 13 regenerations.\
Actually no originally yes of course at the beginning of the series he has had 12 regenerations a full regenerative cycle, however in one episode(not sure which) but he claims to not know exactly how many times he has regenerated we all know we are on the fourteenth doctor(Peter Capaldi) however the doctor does not know that himself, and you also have to take into account the fact that Riversong on the episode Let's kill hitler! she gave him the remaining regenerations she had to have had which if you accounted for her being in new york as a little girl, Amy ponds friend and Melody Pond and the energy which she used to kill those nazi soldiers was 4 leaving her 8 regenerations to give to the doctor to save his life. And when it came down to it after the doctor saved planet Gallifrey the timelords in the pocket universe had given him a full regeneration cycle which is 12 so 20 regenerations minus one due to peter capaldi being the doctor we have 19 to go and maybe even more. :)

None, it is left to the students as an exercise!
At the moment, The Doctor has regenerated 10 times, and Matt Smith is the 11th Doctor
Yes, Time Lords always have 12 regenerations. Some previous episodes have been based around the Doctor's nemesis (the Master) wishing to steal the Doctor's remaining regenerations, and when he ran out of regenerations he looked like a skeleton. Also, River Song used up all of her 'remaining regenerations' to bring the Doctor back to life in 'Let's Kill Hitler', which proves that a Time Lord has a finite number (even if she is only part Time Lord). It is also mentioned somewhere else that they have only 12 regenerations - can't remember where, sorry. Is this what you wanted?
Peri brown is a rather dense American that traveled with the doctor in his fifth and sixth regenerations.
No, he just regenerates to save himself, but his character changes when this happens. He can only die after about 13-15 regenerations.
no one nows i think it happened between the 8th and 9th regenerations
well, First off, his name is "The Doctor" and no, he doesn't die, he regenerates. in the last Christmas special, the 11th doctor (who was on his last regeneration) was granted another set of regenerations, so we can expect many more seasons of the show ;)
"Doctor Who" first premiered in 1963, making it over 50 years old. The show has had multiple seasons and regenerations of the Doctor over the years, making it a long-running and popular science fiction series.
All regenerations hurt the same. Imagine it as every one of your bones and muscles in your body twisting, stretching and shrinking. That would be extremely painful. The story of regenerations have been changed a few times since the original Doctor Who in the 60's. But yes, regeneration is supposed to hurt. See related link.
He is supposed to have 13 regenerations, unless something happens 'cause he revived the TARDIS and saved Rose, like, twice.
No. A timelord can regenerate 12 times, Matt Smith is only the 11th doctor. Also the master got around the whole 12 regenerations thing so I would hope that the doctor will too.
There have been eleven doctors so far (ten regenerations). The Doctor may have regenerated more times, but I doubt that that will affect the official counting.
Time Lords get 12 regenerations, meaning 13 incarnations in total, though The Master has had more than this, by various means.
