What Friar Lawrence says will happen is exactly what does happen. "Presently though all thy veins shall run a cold and drowsy humour, for no pulse shall keep his native progress, but surcease; no warmth, no breath, shall testify thou livest, the roses in thy lips and cheeks shall fade to paly ashes; thy eyes' windows fall like death." Basically she is going to look like she is dead: no pulse, no breath, no colour, and no warmth, and she will stay like that for 42 hours.
The objectives of Friar Lawrence's plan are: 1. To give Juliet some hope so she won't immediately kill herself as she threatens to do. 2. To get Juliet out of Verona. 3. To avoid having Capulet chase Juliet to Mantua and try to bring her back. 4. Most importantly, to avoid having to explain to Capulet that he has married Capulet's only child and heir to Romeo.
Well, oh this is going to be long. Well Juliet has a cousin Tybalt and he wants to Kill Romeo (Juliet's love) But Tybalt Kills Romeo's bestest buddie Mercutio and then Romeo kills Tybalt. Then the Prince (Kinda like a mayor/ officer) banishes Romeo for man slaughter but Romeo doesn't know until the Priest Frier Laurence tells him to go to Juliet. And he does He bids her his love. But then Juliet can't take it anymore so she goes to Frier Laurence for advice. He gives her some sleeping potion so she would pretend that she was dead. so she did then the next day and her family and the Idiot who wanted to marry her I forget his name made her a ceremoney for her death. Then ROMEO finds out about her death witch she is alive but he doesn't know and goes to get some posion and he goes to Juliets Body at a church and finds The Idiot who wanted to marry Juliet and the guy tries to kill Romeo and Then Romeo man Slaughters him. Then he goes to Juliet and try's to drink the posion but Juliet She toches his hand and he already sipped it and after he died she got a gun and shot herself in the head So Yes she did she wanted to be with her love. Well Just watch the movie and see the play

She did kill herself due to overdosing on sleeping pills. Her doctor may be the blame for improper medical treatment.
She was messing around with a married man
Lacey has never said.

Nobody outside of the family and the doctors treating her know why.
She did not commit suicide but she did TRY to kill herself.
Romeo tries to kill himself by swallowing poison after learning about his banishment. He believes he cannot live without Juliet and sees no future without her.
