In exactly the same way they do now. Some actors would be paid by the theatre company to perform their roles. They were paid on a per performance basis. These were the "hired men". If the actor had a little money to invest, he could become a partner (or "sharer") in a theatre company, and they he would get a share of the profits.
Theatre companies made money exactly the same way they do now as well. They put on a play and people paid money to watch it. If enough people showed up they would take in more money than it cost them to put on the show, and there would be a profit for the sharers to share.

Having a bunch of amateur actors put on a play as a part of Shakespeare's play allowed Shakespeare to make fun of inept playwrights and actors which helped the audience appreciate the skill of Shakespeare and his fellow actors.
yes because it was his job. :D

Shakespeare wrote his plays to make money. He was part owner of a theatre company and they made more money if they had new plays and good plays to put on. Shakespeare was able to provide the company with both.
