It really depends on the pageant. There are your average town pageants where you could win maybe 20-50 dollars. Then there are high glitz pageants where you can win up to 2,ooo dollars! But you have to keep in mind that pageants (especially glitz) can be very expensive.

Depends....if you are entering that is about $500 and then you have to buy all the stuff for your child to win titles
Depends on how fast the skinny guy can run
I looked this up and found out they are an off shoot of the adult pageants. Adult pageants started in 1921 in Atlantic City and the child pageants began in the 1960's. I also found out that the children are not covered by child labor laws as far as "working" even though they win money and the parents have them practice for hours. The child pageants are also expensive when the cost of travel, dresses, training, classes in dance and song, entrance fees for each pageant, and other costs associated with the pageants. It seems as well that the prizes are rather small when the costs are considered and factored in.
I believe it was in her first few pageants. But I'm not 100% sure.
