It is a suduction poem, but unlike john Donne "The Flea" hear the suducer is try to make this girl have sex with him out of fear of what will happen if she does not. She will be haunted and left unwanted. At the end "...since my love is spent/I'd rather thou shouldst painfully repent/Than by my threatenings rest still innocent/' Here the sudercer love is not spent since he still is trying to get her in bed with him, and the rpent part is giving into his want of sex.
