In general, men seek to become women (and women seek to become men) because they feel it suits them better. Gender is not simply determined by one's physical sex, but rather is a separate aspect of a person's being. Gender usually tends toward matching with a person's physical sex, but it seems to be like a Bell curve - most people (toward the center) find their gender matches their sex, and their sexuality (another variable) orients them toward being attracted to people of the opposite gender (heterosexual). The majority of people seem to be in this position, but at the edges of the curve are those in which these variables don't match up so cleanly. This is not to say they are in some way less than the "normalized" majority - in fact they are just as important to a healthy culture as those whose gender, sex, and sexuality line up in a traditional manner. Those who find themselves in the predicament where god and/or nature gave them a less traditional orientation must decide for themselves how to live a full and happy life playing the hand they were dealt. Often pretending to be like the majority leads to devastating depression and anxiety in those who are afraid of being seen as different or (god forbid) perverse. This is because they live in a culture that seeks a puritanical simplicity when it comes to sexuality and gender roles, and nervously represses any data that doesn't fit their model of what is Pure and Good. We live in a world where "men" become women, yes. But they were already women, so they didn't become a women - they simply allowed themselves to live as the women they already were. This is not something to be afraid of, or to try to stifle. The world is more complex than we can imagine, and we do ourselves and our children harm by trying to oversimplify it out of fear and the desire for comfort. Humans should have the right to live as they were made, so long as they don't harm others.
