I suppose an eight-year old would go to bed at 8:00pm, just as he/she would be sent to time-out for eight minutes. That might not be true, but I probably went to bed at 8:00 or 8:30 when I was eight. 9:00pm might be a good time, unless he/she needs more sleep. You should be the judge of that. Decide whether the kid needs a better night's sleep? If so, going to be earlier (8:00ish) would be better. If he/she is a night-owl, good luck with that! @!!% Anyway, I think anytime between 8:00am and 9:00pm would be a good time for an eight-year old to go to bed. My son is 5-1/2 and a night-owl, so getting him to bed before 10:00pm is usually a struggle. The earlier he gets up, the harder it is to get him to bed, and it's always later than it should be!
