Mercury is used in fishing lures because it is dense and helps to weight the lure so that it sinks deeper into the water. This can make the lure more appealing to certain fish species that typically feed at lower depths. Additionally, the reflective properties of mercury can create a shimmering effect that attracts fish.
Kind of. Farmers can grow things like corn and soybeans, both of which can be used to make plastics.
some people dont like fishing but the ones who do make sure the lures are in tac and you didnt add anything to the lure to drop the price of it dont sell nightcrawlers unless they are still alive and ready for fishing because then people wont come back and buy more of youre fishing stuff because they thought it was good. have fun fishin i was fishing for largemouth bass today.
A new fisher undoubtedly is in need of fishing gear in order to begin their new hobby. The most important gear, which would make an excellent gift, would be a fishing pole. The fishing pole should be sturdy, not flimsy and a high-grade graphite or fiber glass fishing rod is prime, as they are the most reliable. Another good gift idea for a new fisherman would be lures, which are used to simply lure the fish in. There are many different types though, including jigs, spinners, spoons, soft plastic baits, plugs, spinner baits, and flies. A variety of these would make for an excellent gift.
It's not that what they make plastics with.
Most plastics are formed from crude oil, so no. Recycling plastics is eco-friendly. Most plastics are recycled and recycling is good for the environment so in ya face lovie. See link below. Most plastics are not recycled. Even plastics than make it to recyling centers are having difficulty finding homes in products using recycled materials. Plastic grocery bags are not recycable so use the fabric kind, that's the best kind.

Depends what you want to catch and where you fish. I have been making fishing lures for about a year now, im still new at it. But i use a lathe and make the shape I want (for either a Hula-popper, Crankbait or spook). You have to get eye screws for the hooks and to attach the line to it. For the crank baits, i use plexiglass for the diving beak. You can also carve your lures, I've done that too but it takes a long time. My preferred wood is Cedar and Basswood because it isn't TOO soft like balsa wood and the eye screws hold better in it. All my lures swim great and they catch fish. My carved lures dont look great but they work, the lures I made with the lathe look great! There are many websites that can help with information on making lures (like how tomake them dive deeper, control the wobble that you want it to have, whether you want a tight wiggle or wide wobble ect.).
