Lawn is a very fine weave cotton linen from Lorn in France. Lawn is the anglicized version of Lorn. Lawn also refers to the close seeded tightly mown areas of grass in gardens and parks; having the appearance of a close weave linen.

After the last frost, mow your lawn and remove all the leaves and other debris. Buy Scott's Weed and Feed and a spreader. First, you go row by row and then do the same on a diagonal. Water the ground thoroughly. If you have chinch bugs or other pests, then you will need to add Sevin (bug killer), but this time just to about 18 inches of the curb so that there is no runoff onto the sidewalk or the street.
