Breeding guppiesIt depends on what kind of fish you are trying to breed. Livebearers are the easist fish to breed for begginers. I breed guppies which are livebearers. All you have to do is put a male and a female in a tank together and in about a week, your fish should be pregnant. It takes about 1 month before the babies are born. When the babies are born, you should take the to adult fish out or else the babies are going to get eaten. The best food to feed the babies is bloodworms twice a day. They should grow very quickly. The least you can do to help fishes breed are to select 2 fish of the same species then look up how to dittermin that fishes gender. Next once you have a male and female fish let them grow for about 1 year-2 years. Then eventually the male will chase the female around trying to make her drop her eggs. Egg tips: There is no way to tell if your fish has eggs inside it so you should prepare for it just incase. You should NOT buy a filter that will prevent the male from fertalizing eggs, add some rocks or plants that way the eggs can be layed on them. If eggs are layed by the female then the male will fertalize them. Watch you'r fish alot because as soon as the eggs hatch the mom and dad fish might eat the babies so put the babies in a new tank once they born.
