There are a lot of things wrong with the footage, but it does answer your question! The animal's eye membrane is shown a few times, quickly. They have very good vision (IN WATER), but I'm surprised this shark was able to see what it was doing. This (probably a young female white) shark's nictitant membrane can be seen most explicitly when the narrator literally SMACKS the shark's nose and face after consuming the bait. Not a cool thing to do to any shark, or a nice-feeling thing if you don't like being hit in the face even as a human; but if you also have tons of massively sensitive ampullae in there.... ROUGH.
