Housework is an uncountable noun and doesn't have a plural. You speak in terms of how much, or how little, housework you have.
The plural form of understanding is understandings. But this would have very little use since the common use (to mean comprehension) is uncountable. Compare this to the much greater use of the plural "misunderstandings."
Several online dictionaries do not list a plural. One listed phoenixes. But the Latin nominative plural is phoenīcēs (much like the plural of matrix is matrices). So I guess it would depend on if you wanted to retain the Latin.
Plenty refers to much more than one of something. It is already plural in a sense. The word can not be used to describe singularly.
I do believe the plural for 'origami' is 'origami' much like the word 'deer' it stays the same irregardless. "I have lots of origami"
