I took a few gold chains to a local store and they said they were real but they don't buy gold, I took it to another local jewerly store who does buy it and they said it was fake. I took it to a third store to settle the dispute and she looked it over and offered me money. I wanted to talk it over with my husband. I brought the jewerly back about a week later and she looked at it two more times and paid me for it. Now they're calling wanting their money back and telling me that it's illegal and I could get in a lot of trouble? I didn't know I was selling something fake....all I had were the 3 different jewerlers opinions..isn't the person buying the gold supposed to be the gold expert.

No. As you have already said that it is a fake money order, a bank will never pay for it. Even if you manage to sneak it into the banks deposit system, before paying the money due to the money order, the bank will validate the authenticity of the money order and during that process the fact that it is fake will be found out. And the bank might even decide to pursue legal action against you for using a fake money order.
I would think you would find out when you go to cash it. If it's fake chances are, you won't see any of the money.
You just sign over the pink slip and write out a bill of sale. AFTER you get the money ...if it is ANYTHING other than cash ...cash it first then wait till the bank clears it...as they may give you the cash and tell you some days later that the check or money order was FAKE. Good luck.
There is no place available to print out a fake money order receipt. This action is strictly prohibited and punishable by the law.
