I am not familiar with a film of this title. There is a movie called The Perfect Storm, that may be partly based on fact. Storms and weather-aggravated disasters are a somewhat specious plot device and have never been that popular - there was a film called Hurricane which starred Dorothy Lamour.- This was made in the the Thirties. An aunt of mine thought that Krakatoa- East of Java ( the Island is West of Java on maps, by the way) was a sort of take-off on Hurricane, which I did not see- big action there being a tidal wave triggered by the exploding Volcano. There were a number of stupid technical errors in Krakatoa. In one, The Vessel"s captain yells to a deck officer or quartermaster- who has the Conn- ( Steer 57 degrees South!) South is l80 degrees on the compass~! really lost in basic stuff like that. well maybe weather damage had screwed up the compass.
