Parkour is a modern French "sport" called "FREE-RUNNING"in English. It refers to the act of climbing and running over numerous types of surfaces, such as roofs, sides of buildings, columns, etc. Probably a more accessible form of parkour for many would be the way in which Altair or Ezio interacts with the world in the popular Assassin's Creed video game franchise, wherein he jumps from building to building, climbs buildings and walls, and makes incredible jumps. Of course, free-runners note that the "leap of faith" is actually deadly and should never be attempted (because you will actually break your body).
