The event of having a barbeque is una parrillada. The food (meat) is carne a la parrilla. BTW, the word barbeque comes from a certain method of cooking the meat called barbacoa. I guess I could expand on barbeque. Barbacoa comes from the words "de barba a cola" (from head to tail) where the animal is killed, dressed, and cooked whole (not in pieces as we normally call barbequeing). If you have seen old cowboy movies when they are out on the range and they have the carcass of a young calf roasting over the fire on a spit, that is cooking "de barba a cola" (from head to tail = barbacoa, or barbeque). Barbacoa cooking can also be done in a pit,

Pollo asado (roasted Chicken is sometimes okay to use as grilled, but improper Spanish)

Pollo al carbón (Bar-B-Qued Chicken or chicken on a charcole grill...sometime called grilled chicken in parts of the US)
