Nur jahan
Begum Nur Jahan (1577-1645), also known as Mehr-un-Nisaa, was an Empress of the Mughal Dynasty that ruled much of the Indian subcontinent. She is an aunt of Empress Mumtaz Mahal, Emperor Shah Jahan's wife for whom the Taj Mahal was made.
Mihr-un-nissa was the real name of Mughal Empress Nur Jahan. After her marriage with Jahangir, she was first given the title of Nur Mahal, which means light of the palace. In 1616, Jahangir gave her the title of Nur Jahan that means light of the world.

Mumtaz Mahal (also known as Aliya Begum, Arjumand Banu Begum, Taj Bibi, Mumtaz-ul Zamani) was the second and favorite wife of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for whom he created the most beautiful tomb, the Taj Mahal. She was the niece of Mughal Empress Nur Jahan (wife of Jahangir).
Mumtaz Mahal was the second and favorite wife of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. She was also the niece of his step-mother Empress Nur Jahan. They had 14 children. Shah Jahan built the beautiful mausoleum of Taj Mahal in honour of Mumtaz Mahal.
Nur Jahan married twice. Sher Afgan, a Mughal courtier in the service of Akbar, was the first husband of Nur Jahan. Emperor Jahangir was her second husband.
Nur Jahan (Light of the World) was the title given to Mehr-un-Nisa by her husband Jahangir in 1616.
Empress Nur Jahan was born in Kandahar to Itimad-Ud-Daula and his wife Asmat Begum on 31st May 1577.
Empress Nur Jahan died at the age of 72, in 1645. Her tomb is located at Shahdara Bagh in Lahore, close to that of Jahangir.
Empress Nur Jahan died in 1646 at Lahore at the age of 72. She was buried in a tomb which she had herself built close to that of Jahangir at Lahore.
The Itimad-Ud-Daula's Tomb at Agra, built by Mughal Empress Nur Jahan for her father, Itimad-Ud-Daula (Mirza Ghiyas Beg) was the first Mughal structure to be built entirely of white marble. This building had inspired Shah Jahan to build the Taj Mahal.
