there is no such thing as an Italian dollar, the Italians have never dealt in dollars only Liras and now Euros

As of today Sept 15, 2009, the exchange is:

1 Euro = 1.4658 U.S. Dollars

This is assuming you are looking for the U.S. Currency.

Italy uses the euro as its currency, not the dollar. The euro is the official currency of Italy and one euro is equivalent to about 1.13 US dollars.
