kind of depends on the reaction. ex. solid and a liquid react causing a an aqueous solution and a gas to form. when a gas is formed the gas expands causing it to do work on its surroundings causing work to be negative.

In an exothermic reaction, heat is released as the reaction proceeds. When work is done on the system, it can help overcome the activation energy barrier, allowing the reaction to proceed faster or more efficiently. This extra energy input can speed up the reaction and increase the product yield.

Guys watch out the question, if your question end with positive then the answer will be An endothermic reaction that decreases in entropy. If the question end with negative then its An exothermic reaction that increases in entropy--APEX hope this help

Is vaporisation an exothermic or endothermic process?

Any reaction categories into exothermic and endothermic based upon change in enthalpy of reaction. If difference in enthalpy of product and reactant comes positive value then it is termed as endothermic and if it is negative value then exothermic reaction. Usually, vaporisation is considered as exothermic due to release in energy.

A reaction that releases energy as it occurs is classified as?

A reaction that releases energy is exothermic.

What is process that involves absorption of heat?

endothermic reaction a positive enthalpy.

What is the type of heat reaction which occurs when heat is given off by the reaction?

An exothermic reaction is one in which heat is released or given off as a product of the reaction. This is often associated with a rise in temperature in the surrounding environment.

Are titrations endothermic or exothermic?

In thermometric titration the reaction enthalpy is used to follow the chemical reaction. I guess it dépends on the titration reaction it can be exothermic or endothermic. ΔHr (molar heat of reaction) negative (indicating an exothermic reaction) or positive (indicating an endothermic reaction

A chemical reaction in which heat is released is?

exothermic reaction .

In a balanced exothermic reaction where does a heat term appear?

In an exothermic reaction, heat will appear as a product in the chemical equation. It is denoted on the product side of the equation with a positive sign, indicating that heat is being released from the reaction.

A reaction that releases energy in the form of heat?

An exothermic reaction releases energy in the form of heat. This type of reaction typically results in a rise in temperature in the surrounding environment. Examples include combustion and neutralization reactions.

What kind of chemical reaction is an exothermic reaction?

Exothermic reaction: reaction with release of heat; for example burning of organic materials (oxydation of carbon) is a typical exothermic reaction.

A chemical reaction that releases energy is called?

Exothermic reactions

Energy is released when?

For example in an exothermic chemical reaction.
