Best Answer

Coefficient of cubical expansion for liquid is much less than that of the gaseous form. So to avoid burst due to rise in temperature liquid is safer than gas.

Liquid is generally safer than gas because liquids are easier to contain and control than gases. Liquids are denser and have lower vapor pressure, which reduces the risk of leaks and potential hazards. In addition, liquids are less likely to disperse rapidly and cause fires or explosions compared to gases.

Is displacement of liquid by liquid easier than by gas?

Yes, Liquid -Liquid displacement is easier than displacement with gas. the liquids cannot be compressible, but gas can. the volume of gas required for displacement is lower than volume of liquid.

Why is the density of a gas lower than the density of a liquid?

atoms in a gas are farther apart than atoms in a liquid

What is the state of interparticle distance inside a solid liquid and gas?

The interparticle distance is greater in a gas than in a liquid, and greater in a liquid than in a solid.

What is the key defferenc between liquid and gas?

A gas has greater kinetic energy than a liquid.

Does a gas have a lower density than a liquid?

A gas has a lower density than either a liquid or solid because its molecules are not as compressed as the other two states of matter. Gas has weaker intermolecular bonds than either a solid or liquid.

If you have the lightest liquid and Heaviest gas can you make the liquid float?

no, the lightest liquid has a lot more density than the heaviest gas.

What happens to the density of water as it changes from liquid to a gas?

Gas is much less dense than liquid.

Why liquid petroleum gas is transported as liquid?

Liquid petroleum gas is transported as a liquid because it is more space-efficient this way compared to transporting it as a gas. By compressing it into liquid form, LPG takes up significantly less volume, making transportation more cost-effective and practical. Additionally, storing and handling LPG in liquid form is safer as it reduces the risk of leakage and vaporization.

Is liquid more condensed than gas?

Yes, liquid is more condensed than gas because the particles in a liquid are closer together compared to a gas where particles are more spread out. This is why liquids have a definite volume, whereas gases take the shape of their container.

Are particles in a gas or a liquid further apart?

The molecules in a gas are spread further apart than those in a liquid.

What are physical changes in matter?

There's a bit more than 3. gas -> liquid (condensation) liquid -> gas (evaporation) liquid -> solid (freezing) solid -> liquid (melting) solid -> gas (sublimation) gas -> solid (deposition) gas -> plasma (ionozation) Plasma -> gas (deionozation)
