When the sun and the moon are in line ( at night ), The tides are relatively higher. These tides can also be referred as spring tides. At night the moon's gravity pulls the closest surface of Earth. If that surface contains water ( which always does), the moon pulls it, causing a high tide.

Tidal waves, also known as tsunamis, do not have a higher weight at night compared to the daytime. Tsunamis are caused by underwater earthquakes and have constant force independent of time of day. The perception of increased weight at night may be due to factors like poor lighting, noise levels, or psychological factors.

Because the gravity from the moon pulls the water out to sea and the gravity from the moon is stronger when it is out above the water, I think.
