Uranus' atmosphere is made up of hydrogen, helium and methane. The methane in Uranus' upper atmosphere absorbs the red light from the sun but reflects the blue light from the sun back into space. This is why Uranus appear blue.

It's to be bluer because It has a mass 17 times greater, and a mean density about a third of earths. Its atmosphere is mainly hydrogen and helium, with some methane and ammonia, which makes Neptune bluer than Uranus. Neptune and Uranus have a high percentage of methane in their atmosphere which adsorb long-wavelength red light, so reflected sun light appears blue - green or blue. Neptune has more methane in it's atmosphere than Uranus which is why it appears bluer.

Neptune and Uranus are not blue. It's an illusion caused by the surfaces of the planets. Since we are so far away, we catch the opticle illusion of it. Almost like Mars, which is infact not red, though a pale rustic color.

Neptune is blue because of the high scale clouds of methane particles.

Uranus on the other hand absorbs the red light of the sun, and as an effect, reflects it's bueatiful, soothing blue green color. I'm sure a similar thing is also with Neptune, as it is so blue as well.
