China's isolation began from physical barriers like the Gobi Desert, but kept up due to political ideals like Communism. Being isolationist allows for optimum control with little to no exterior influences. Extending isolationist policies has allowed for media control, therefore public control. Their protectionist policies have also allowed the nation to vastly expand their economy. By encouraging only exporting and limited importing, the nation has become self-reliant and built up the strongest growing economic force of the century.

The economic and political benefits to China's government have encouraged them to continue mostly isolationist policies.

China's desire to isolate from outside influences stems from a desire to protect its political system and national sovereignty. The government believes that outside influences, such as Western ideologies or foreign cultures, could threaten its control over the country and undermine the Communist Party's authority. By limiting external influences, China aims to maintain stability and preserve its vision for development.

Why do atoms share electrons?

They share electrons when they try and corm covalent or ionic bonds. This is because the atoms want to gain a full outer shell. So when they share electrons they can have full shells.

Why might a calcium atom want to lose the two electrons in its outer orbital?

Having just 18 electrons make Calcium nobel.

The happy atoms are the blank gases They dont react because blank?

The happy atoms are the noble gases. They don't react because their valence electron shells are full. The goal of every element is to have the most outer shell of electrons full. The first shell holds 2 electrons, and every shell after that holds 8 electrons. So helium and hydrogen both want to have 2 electrons in their outer shells. Elements like neon and argon have 8 electrons in their outer shells. Atoms like chlorine and fluorine have 7 electrons in their outer shells. This means that aren't "happy" because they want to have 8. This is why they ionically bond with atoms like sodium that have 1 electron in their outer shells. Sodium gives that electron to chlorine and now both have 8 electrons in their outer shells.

You can say he did and didn't, as he evenually want to get rid of all of them. Anything he did to get along with the communist was only affected by outer force. He never really wanted any communist to remain in China.

What is the political structure of the southern colonies?

The early southern colonies were almost entirely agriculture instead of trade like the northern colonies. They were ruled by a Governor sent from England who followed rules from the planter class (the people who owned the land). Their political structure was a strong central government, much like they were used to from their lives in England.
